Oak is dark and dense and comes in heavy pieces. It takes a lifetime to grow, and the trees that are felled are chosen carefully, to ensure sustainability. Its hard to get going from a cold start, so recommended to burn on an established hot fire, or mix with birch or smokeless fuel for a longer slower fire.
